How to use the html to plain text converter

Create a readable text companion for your HTML email. The converter parses content locally, keeps useful paragraph boundaries, and optionally includes destination URLs and image descriptions.

  1. Paste the final HTML email rather than only its stylesheet or a screenshot.
  2. Choose whether to include link destinations and meaningful image descriptions.
  3. Select Convert to text. Review the result for reading order, lists, paragraph breaks, and the main action.
  4. Copy the text or download a text file. Keep unsubscribe and required sender information that belong in the message.
  5. Use the result as the text part in a sending platform that supports multipart email, then inspect a real received message.

Review the text version as its own message

A good text version is not just a dump of HTML tags. It should explain the same idea and provide a clear next step without depending on layout or images. The converter removes scripts, style rules, and common hidden content while preserving normal reading boundaries. Complex nested tables and unusual editor markup can still need manual revision. Read the result from beginning to end before using it as a message part.

Links and image descriptions

Including a destination after link text makes the action available in clients that do not render HTML. Only common web, mailto, and telephone schemes are included as destinations. Image descriptions can carry important context when artwork is unavailable, but repeated decorative alt text may add clutter. Choose the settings that best preserve meaning and edit redundant output when necessary.

A text companion does not guarantee delivery

A multipart message gives recipients another way to read your content, but it does not repair authentication, consent, or domain reputation. Keep HTML and text versions consistent and avoid contradictory offers. This tool does not assemble a MIME message or send mail. Your sending service is responsible for packaging the supplied parts and applying authentication to the final message.

Common questions

Does this upload my HTML?

No. Parsing and conversion run in your browser.

Can it reproduce the visual layout in text?

No. It preserves useful structure, but plain text cannot reproduce complex columns or visual styling.

Are hidden preheaders included?

Common hidden content is omitted. Review the text version and add important context explicitly.
